OKR Management System

Implement Objectives and Key Results to align your team's goals

OKR (Objectives & Key Results) Feature

The OKR (Objectives and Key Results) feature in Hidesc Task Management helps organizations set, track, and achieve measurable goals. It creates alignment between company strategy and daily work at every level — Company, Team, and Personal.

Understanding the OKR Structure

OKRs connect strategy with execution using a simple hierarchy:

Objectives: Define high-level, qualitative goals.

Child Objectives: Sub-goals aligned with parent objectives.

Key Results: Quantifiable outcomes measuring success.

Tasks: Day-to-day actions driving measurable results.

Alignment: Cascades from company to individual levels.

Measurement: Tracks progress across all key results.

Transparency: Enables everyone to see priorities and impact.

Execution: Directly links goals with actionable tasks.

1. Objective Creation

Objectives represent the top-level goals at Company, Team, or Personal levels. Each objective is measurable through its linked key results and child objectives.

Personal OKR

Objective Fields & Options

  • Assignee: Owner(s) responsible for progress updates.
  • Objective Name & Description: Clear, inspiring goal statement with contextual details.
  • Time Interval: Predefined (Quarterly, Half-Yearly, Annual) or Custom dates.
  • Visibility: All (organization-wide) or Restricted (specific teams/individuals).
  • Measurement: Auto-calculated via child objectives or manually updated.

2. Child Objective Creation

Child objectives break down parent goals into smaller, focused objectives. They enable teams and individuals to contribute directly to company priorities.

Child Objective OKR
  • Parent Objective: Must link to a higher-level objective.
  • Type: Personal or Team objective.
  • Assignee: Owner responsible for completion.
  • Child Objective Name & Description: Specific, measurable sub-goal.
  • Time Interval: Custom or predefined duration.
  • Measurement: Manual or auto-progress based on linked items.

3. Key Result Creation

Key Results define measurable outcomes that indicate whether an objective is being achieved.

Key Result OKR

Key Result Fields

  • Parent Objective — must be linked.
  • Assignee — result owner.
  • Name & Description — define measurable outcome.
  • Time Interval — custom or predefined.

Measurement Methods

  • Manual Entry: Owner updates progress directly.
  • Percentage: Progress tracked from 0–100%.
  • Numeric: Based on change between start → target values.
  • Binary: Yes/No completion.
  • Child Status: Auto-progress from sub-results.

4. Linking Tasks to OKRs

Tasks connect OKRs to execution. When tasks are linked to an objective or key result, their completion updates overall progress automatically.

  • Link under Objective: Tasks aligned with broad goals.
  • Link under Key Result: Tasks contributing to measurable outcomes.
  • Tracking: Task completion updates related Key Result and flows up to objectives.

5. Progress Tracking

Objective progress is calculated automatically from linked elements — Child Objectives, Key Results, and Tasks.

Sources of Progress

  • Linked Child Objectives
  • Linked Key Results
  • Linked Tasks

Update Methods

  • Manual update by objective owner
  • Automatic updates from Key Results or task completion
  • Progress based on percentage, numeric, or binary methods
