Bulk Edit
The Bulk Edit feature in Task Management allows users to select and edit multiple tasks at once, streamlining the process of managing tasks across a team. This feature is available for editing fields such as status, assignee, start date, due date, and expected duration.

Selection Limits
Selection Process
Use checkboxes to select multiple tasks (up to the 25-task limit). The selection is intuitive and allows for quick batch operations.
Note: Selected tasks are highlighted for visual confirmation
Bulk Edit Options
Status
Change the status of multiple tasks (e.g., "In Progress," "Done," etc.)
Assignee
Assign the selected tasks to a different user from a dropdown list
Start Date
Modify the start date for all selected tasks
Due Date
Modify the due date for all selected tasks
Expected Duration
Update the expected duration for the selected tasks
Note: The edit options allow users to keep the previous values for any field or apply new ones. This provides flexibility in managing task updates.

- Appears after selecting tasks for bulk editing

- Each field has appropriate input controls (dropdowns, date pickers, etc.)

Permission Restrictions
Field Restrictions
- If a user lacks permission to edit certain fields, those fields will be disabled in the bulk edit modal
- Disabled fields are visually distinct with grayed-out appearance
- Tooltips explain why specific fields are unavailable
User Notifications
- Users receive visual cues indicating restricted fields
- Clear messaging explains permission limitations
- Suggestions provided for obtaining necessary permissions
Bulk Edit Process
Select Tasks
Click on the checkboxes beside the tasks to select up to 25 tasks
Access Bulk Edit
Click on the "Bulk Edit" button or icon in the interface
Modify Details
Use dropdowns or input fields to edit selected task fields
Apply Changes
Click Apply Changes to save modifications to all selected tasks
Cancel Changes
Click Cancel to discard changes and close the modal
Edit Failure Due to Permissions
Permission Error Handling
If an edit fails due to insufficient permissions (for a specific field), a message will appear in the UI with clear instructions.
The user will be informed about which fields cannot be edited due to their role or permission settings.
