Role-Based Permissions Overview

As a controlled task management application for organisations, Hidesc provides:

Permission Levels

Level Description
Module Access Control which modules a role can access
Project Access Which projects a role can view/manage
Task Access Create, edit, delete, assign tasks
Field Visibility Show/hide specific fields (salary, budget, etc.)
Action Permissions Export, import, bulk edit, etc.

Field-Level Permissions

Field-level role-based task management allows you to:

  • Hide sensitive fields (salary, cost, budget) from certain roles
  • Make fields read-only for specific roles
  • Control who can edit custom fields
  • Set different visibility per project type

Example: Hide "Budget" field from Team Members while Managers can view and edit it.

Creating Custom Roles

  1. Navigate to Settings → Roles & Permissions
  2. Click "Create New Role"
  3. Name the role (e.g., "Project Manager", "Team Lead")
  4. Select module access permissions
  5. Configure field-level visibility
  6. Set action permissions
  7. Save and assign to users
